A new dimension in timber construction

With 113 flats, 5 shops, a kindergarten and 8 above-ground storeys in timber hybrid construction, the building project Vis-à-Vis in the new urban development area ‘Village im Dritten’ is one of the largest and tallest timber buildings in Austria.

Significantly involved: Our experts from the timber engineering department led by Harald Hobacher. They carried out structural optimisations and, in close collaboration with the client Schwarzatal and all the specialist planners involved, redesigned the project in such a way that the respective material properties of timber and reinforced concrete were optimally utilised.
