Construction of the LeopoldQuartier begins
The foundation stone of the LeopoldQuartier has been laid. The construction of one of Europe's largest timber construction projects has begun.
We are proud to contribute our concentrated expertise from a single source to this green flagship project of the PORR Group on behalf of UBM Development:
- The planning of the complex statics
- The certification - DGNB Gold planned for every component
- Management of all LEAN processes - design, construction and logistics
- Our expertise in the field of timber construction
The highlight: a ten-storey office building in timber hybrid construction - with 2,800 m3 of timber, which binds 2,800 tonnes of CO₂ in the long term. This includes 17,000 m2 of timber-concrete composite ceilings made of solid cross-laminated timber with concrete topping and around 700 glulam columns In a modern and sustainable urban district. We are already looking forward to the first visible construction progress.
