Efficiency and convenience thanks to sensor data in BIM models

Together with AEE INTEC, our BIM experts are currently working on a research project for the PORR Group that aims to make BIM even more usable for building operations. How does this work? By combining existing BIM models with the data collected by special sensors.

For test purposes, these sensors are currently placed in the offices of our BIM department and linked directly to the digital twin of the office space. This means that important data such as humidity, CO2, sound levels and temperature can be collected and analyzed - and mapped directly in the BIM model.

An innovative building operating platform was developed for this purpose. This makes it possible to gain real-time insights into building performance, make optimizations and detect errors at an early stage.
