Optimum construction progress at LeopoldQuartier

Coordinated by our timber construction department, the clever combination of timber, reinforced concrete and steel makes optimum use of the strengths of all materials. The timber-hybrid construction method used has significant advantages - and shows what modern timber construction can achieve today. Because wood and concrete get along perfectly.

Time and cost savings: Thanks to modular construction, timber construction significantly reduces the construction time. Standardization and prefabricated components reduce costs. Just-in-time delivery means that building elements are delivered on time and installed directly. This reduces storage costs, optimizes the construction process and minimizes moisture risks.

Environmentally friendly and sustainable: wood is durable, fast-growing and ideal for the indoor climate. In addition, every cubic metre of wood binds one tonne of CO2 - a total of 6,600 tonnes for the LeopoldQuartier.

Construction of the urban quarter on an area of over 23,000 m² between Vienna's Augarten and the Danube Canal is scheduled for completion in spring 2026. The LeopoldQuartier is being built by PORR on behalf of UBM Development.
