Demolition with a future - the first gold for sustainable dismantling
Where the old gives way, space is created for the future - sustainably and innovatively. The best proof: the demolition of five office buildings and a high-rise garage in the LeopoldQuartier planned by us has now been certified according to the DGNB Demolition System. It was one of the first projects in the German-speaking world and the first in Austria to be awarded GOLD.
Specifically, our sustainability experts carried out a comprehensive life cycle assessment, analyzed environmental impacts and waste categories, optimized material flows and transport routes and implemented a hazardous substance remediation concept.

The ecological, socio-cultural and functional quality was rated particularly highly. This includes resource-conscious dismantling, maximum material recycling and optimized dismantling with a view to the impact on people and the environment.
The gold award confirms our claim to design construction processes in a sustainable and responsible manner. Deconstruction in accordance with DGNB standards is another important step towards a circular economy - and we at pde are proud to be a pioneer in shaping the future here.
